Moda    Marbles

This is my Tumbling Blocks quilt using Moda 'Playing with Marbles'. Each diamond is approx 1", so three make up a hexagon approx 2" across. So far, the quilt measures approx 2 foot by about 6 foot, and will be the central panel of a double-bed sized quilt. I'm in the process of putting a yellow hexagon border all around it - sunglasses please... The photos show the quilt in close-up, and one variation of the pattern I want to continue with.

The quilt is all hand-tacked onto papers, and hand-stitched together. I have been working on it on and off for almost 6 years now, and don't intend to rush it - it's too much fun to do quickly. Besides, although I'm good at piecing the diamonds together, I'm only a novice when it comes to the actual quilting (I'm not really putting off the time when I'll have to get my thimbles out and quilt it...!)
